Osprey Games ( Lion's Rampant, Frostgrave, IHMN )

Has any played some of the new Osprey titles that have come out this year? Frostgrave seems to be getting a lot of buzz and Lion's Rampant ( and forth coming Dragon's Rampant ) seems like a simple army / skirmish game. Oh, let's not forget about In Her Majesty's Name which reads pretty fantastic.

Any interest or anybody playing/played them already?

You'll see some of the Osprey games at Great Hall quite a bit. I like the Fleet Action game - best naval sail game I've played. Simple and bloody - good stuff. Ronin is a lot of fun and now I have dozens of Samurai, Sohei, Wako and some rainbow Ninjas.

Frostgrave is gaining some attention for sure.

I've not played Lions Rampant, but have read the rules and it will do well for historicals. I know guys that already want to use WFB minis for Frostgrave and Dragons Rampant. Not sure i'd call any a tournement game by design, although Lions/Dragons Rampant could fit there.

I got my first game of Frostgrave in over the weekend, and it is great. Definitely will make for good narrative campaigns. One of these days I'll get some Samurai to join in ronin with the guys.

I am going to paint up a couple of Asian/Japanese looking magic users and use my Ronin figures for FrostGrave

I like that you can use any figures -- it would be an incentive to get a cool little themed group of my favorite WM models finally painted. And the campaign format sounds really interesting -- that's what I always wanted to do with other games, to add story-telling to gameplay (especially since I'm better at the former than the latter ...). I'd definitely be interested in seeing it in action. And if anyone has the rulebook that I could glance at, that would be great, too.

We played at Mage's Sanctum. It's a pretty cool shop, and they are super friendly. I will post up next time we plan a game!

That would be awesome. I actually already ordered the book from Amazon, so I may actually have a nascent knowledge of the mechanics before then ...
