    Anphelion Project, 2nd Edition!

Couple fun facts after an initial scan:

The Heirophant is now cheaper, but can purchase significant biomorph upgrades. One of them makes it an Assault Vehicle Transport with a 20 model capacity!
How many models does a carnifex count as?

The Red Scorpions now have some fluffy rules for two other side characters, one of them being the Dreadnought Brother Halar. This pleases me greatly, since I built a Halar back in 2006 when the first edition came out:

Oddly, I couldn't find a pic in this new edition of Halar, though he had a nice little spread in the old book. I think I might be the only hobbyist in the world to have built one already.

EDIT: So it's not "a nice little spread" so much as a picture, but here it is for reference from the 1st edition book:

Idk man I am counting about half a dozen special rules. that isn't counting the special wargear.

THe fact each one has a paragraph assigned to explain the rules of each is just icing.

That said I do NOT want to be in melee with that thing! About time Tyranids got a close combat monster that will rip wraithknights in half. ( seems a bit odd but I can't find anywhere that says Monstrous Creatures are Bulky/Extremely Bulky...)

That new nid bug looks really fun to play, and the stone crusher update is awesome.

The new nid bug is retarded--in both the good and bad ways. It IS an assload of special rules, each layer of SR triggers a new SR. It really could have been written more simply. "longwinded" Hah. ANYWAY....
I'm not getting one, at least not any time soon.

But I would play an Anphelion campaign if the table had dense jungle and a smoke machine.
