I just got it for PC. I don't think you can play together cross platform.
What do you think it? There is a lot of hate on the Internet for it.

I haven't played it enough yet. I just installed it and played for one round this morning. I'll play some more tonight and see how I feel about it. It definitely was harder to get kills with the starter weapons.
I'm a little lost in the game right now. Only played a little so far though. The horse is the best part so far.
