Thread: Voidspan Point Station under Nurgle Control. Would you like to know more?

After receiving a message that the cowardly Eidolon would not be bringing his band of pansy pleasure freaks along for the assault on the station at Voidspan Lord Curpulus knew he was going to need reinforcements. His prayers to his beloved disease master did not go unanswered. The Voidspan station was captured by Curpulus, in large part due to the daemon host that was summoned to his aid. Led by the Tallyman of the Plague Lord himself, the combined Nurgle forces were able to seize the station and fight off the puny Imperial alliance in their way.

The engagement started in a less than favorable way. After boarding the station, Lord Curpulus and his terminator retinue lead by fellow Lord Typhus were met with heavy fire from the Dark Angel chapter. The daemon forces knew they had to intervene and quickly sent a detachment of horribly delightful plague beasts at the Dark Angels and managed to keep their Captain's attention for the battle.

Meanwhile, still recovering from the casualties they suffered, Curpulus and his Terminators were ambushed by assault marines from the Blood Angels chapter. Typhus was itching for some combat, although it may have just been his sores. After calling out the Chaplain of the unit and felling him with his scythe, Typhus got blessed by the Chaos Gods and was given a delightful blood fury. Over come by this Typhus laid waste to the rest of the unit.

The imperial forces were not ready for the psychic powers of Lord Curpulus who time after time cast dreaded maledictions upon their units, enfeebling their battle hardened warriors and cursing their guns.

The Dark Angel retinue, distracted by the grotesque beasts assaulting their bunker, were not aware of the arrival of the Plague Marine squad that had ported in behind them. Appearing in a blinding blast, the plague marines were able to sabotage their command station and the resulting blast sent the Dark Angel Captain into the horrid vacuum of space.

After spending time observing the carnage, Epidemius was able to figure out the proper viral blessing to bestow his fellow diseased brethren and the Nurgle alliance was able to overrun the station, and capture it for the Plague Lord!

FINAL RESULTS:

Nurgle Forces: Captured 3 of the 4 objectives (after sabotaging the 4th); First Blood; Slay the Warlord

One of Mike's dreadnoughts, after going the whole game without stopping a psychic power, finally got a Deny the Witch off that prevented me from getting him to S 4 which would have stopped him from instant killing me. He then killed the last terminator in the unit.

Mike's Captain after fighting and surviving 8 rounds of combat with a unit of Beasts of Nurgle who at the end had the No Armour Save blessing from Epidemius ended up getting blown into space after i sabotaged the objective he was on.

Typhus won 2 Challenges and received +1 Attack and +1 Toughness from the boon table.

The captain of the Plague Marines after squishing a sergeants head received hatred for him and his unit.
