    Mantic Warpath beta rules discussion

    Anyone read them yet and have opinions?

    I thought they were just an excuse to make 40K models under a different guise? Did not read the rules, but glanced over them. Seems like simpler if that is possible IGOUGO rules than WH40K

    its shiat. Units dont die, they just collect damage until they fail a moral test then *poof*, whole unit is gone.

    Sounds really different than 40k where units collect damage and, before you know it, the whole unit is gone.

    yes, but in 40K, you lose models instantly. That isnt the case in this system. they can be running around at full strength and you keep rolling a leadership check for them. One minute they are at full strength, take more damage, the whole unit is poofgone. they dont run away to regroup, they are at best forced to go to ground and cant do any shooting. In melee, it makes them fight until the whole unit is gone in one check. That seems a little strange to me, but Im willing to bring some marines to WGC and test it out in open gaming.
