Thread: Effectively new player, stationed at Fort Hood, trying to find regular games

Hi Everyone,

I'm returning to the hobby after a long time away, haven't really played since 3rd edition. I'm hoping to find a location that I can play at for some pick up games to get myself back to speed before I throw myself into any tournament setting where I'm annoying people with my slow play as I try to puzzle out all the rules that have changed.

I've noticed that Dragon's Lair and Wonko's seem to have pug nights, but they're during the week and it's an hour drive to get there for me and I need to get up by 5:30 during the week, so late night weekday games aren't really viable for me.

If anyone has any suggestions for places that might run pugs Friday or Saturday or would do it during the week in a little closer to Fort Hood, I'd greatly appreciate it.

wonkos is having a tournament today beginning at 11 if you can make it. its 2000 points, with 1000 being infantry/bikes/beasts/walkers

also you have a local store called quantum leap games, but i am not sure what their weekly game night is

dragons lair has a tournament the first sunday of each month, crp is the TO and he is a good guy, he is probably going to reply to this post here.
