Nevermind you weren't playing with GW's rules in your version of fantasy as it was. You were participating in convoluted Swedish or Basque comp systems which fundamentally changed the rules as written.

It's not a competitive ruleset it's an expensive board game meant to be fun and friendly. But too many can only have fun at the expense of other's fun.

Listen I know it sucks bad to potentially lose an investment. The flip side was that the company divested itself of the IP, or the brand entire.

But speaking in absolutes? Ranting? Pretending you have some grasp on game design beyond consuming product is frustrating and tiresome.

Play your games with KoW, be upset about the change, but don't sh-t on people trying to step into this new game because you carry yourself like a joyless prick.
