I was looking at Dragon's Lair calendar and they have Wednesday nights listed for "Startship minis open play". Are people showing up and doing that? I know there's some folks who do Friday nights, but wondering if there's people on Wednesday's too.

There might be but i havent seen them
last tuesday about 6 people at different times showed up to play space ship minis.

A bunch of guys I know go to DLair on Wednesdays to play XWing. I don't know anyone who plays Armada.
Armada seems to still be a niche within the X-wing player base. It's a great game, just completely different in focus. Wednesdays at Mage's Sanctum are their X-wing night, so I usually go there. Friday is the big X-wing night for DL, but people meander through for games most nights of the week it seems like.
I showed up last Wednesday at 6 but couldn't find anyone to play. If you're interested in a game (with someone not too experienced at the game) I was planning on giving it another try tonight.
I can be there around 7p, give or take 15 minutes. I'm going to dinner with the family but can come by after that.
