My advice to a local newbie would be this: Show up to Dlair on Wednesdays, and more importantly, Don't be afraid to ask anyone playing about Warmahordes.

Everyone I've played with has been pleasant, and if we all have one thing in common, it's that we all want to grow the hobby locally, the more players the better. Even if the person you ask isn't someone you arranged to speak with on these boards or elsewhere, there's a good chance they can point you to someone who can help out.

Don't be shy, if you see people playing, say "hi" and let them know you're thinking about getting in to the game.
