    Necron Deathmark Question

ok question about deathmarks (necrons): When they arrive using their special rule- Hunters from Hyperspace: they are allowed to deepstrike in the opponents movement phase. According to the 6th ed book they can then shoot during the subsequent shooting phase, ie opponents turn, since they have defined a turn as a player's turn unless specifically stated other wise. When do they get to shoot, before during or after the opponent gets to? I am leaning to before, as this is similar to the interceptor USR. What do y'all think?

P8: if something happens at the same time (IE all shooting in a phase) the player whose turn it is chooses the order in which everything is resolved.

I DISAGREE, SIR! The rule says units that deep strike may shoot or run "as normal." Normally, you aren't allowed to shoot on your opponent's turn.
Give a man fire, and you keep him warm for a night.
Set a man on fire, and you keep him warm for the rest of his life.

or that. I don't have a Necron dex, so I can only base my response on the wording he used. But yeah "as normal" would imply shooting only in their own shooting phase.

Definitely not, to answer your question. Defining turn as player turn unless otherwise specified was how it worked in 5th edition, and there are no direct changes to Deathmarks that allow them to fire in the opponent turn.

Turn is still defined as player turn unless otherwise noted in 6th, but I don't even see anything about shooting in that rule, let alone anything that might lead one to believe that you do anything other than deepstrike onto the board.
