I know this board is frequented mostly by Warhammer, Warmachine stuff but Millenium Con is in November and it is truly a blast, and in our backyard (Round Rock). Currently, there is a need for some referees. I know many of you would love the chance to demo some stuff, or run a cool game. Even if you do not, come out and check the con out, great games, vendors, the whole kebob!
Just spreading the word here.
Millenniumcon currently has only about ½ the games scheduled as normal. Since player registration is planned to start in a month, the situation does not look good. So if you plan to run a game, please register it as soon as possible. Without GMs who take the time to volunteer to run the games, the hobby dries up and the conventions go away…
November 8 - 10, 2013 – Round Rock, Texas
We are pleased to announce that the 16th annual LSHM Gaming Convention will continue to be at the Wingate Inn and Conference Center in Round Rock, Texas. Millenniumcon is the largest historical miniature convention in Texas. Game Host registration is currently open.
We plan to start player registration for the convention beginning in October.
Millennium has a particular need for classical historical periods (ACW, Napoleonic, Colonials. etc) and, in particular, Saturday evening sessions.
Note that the session times have been adjusted to allow more time between games for setup and take down on Saturday (including lunch and dinner) and more time for the flea market before Sunday games begin (Sunday GMs will be allowed into the flea market area before the general public):
FA – Friday Afternoon (12:00 PM – 6:00 PM) – by request and we need to know the game start time
FR = Friday Evening (7:30 - 11:30)
SM = Saturday Morning (8:30 - 12:30)
SA = Saturday Afternoon (2:00 - 6:00)
SE = Saturday Evening (7:30 - 12:00)
SU = Sunday Morning (9:30 - 1:30) (note that SU and SUA overlap)
SUA = Sunday extended (9:30 – 3:00)
Upon game registration, the room and table number will be assigned upon a first come - first serve basis. Once all the tables for a particular time slot have been filled, we will close registration for that particular time slot. If you request to run a game during a closed time slot, you will be notified and given a choice of alternate time slots that are available. This process is to make sure that we have enough tables available for each time slot, and one time slot doesn't get over booked.
The link to register is listed below: http://millenniumcon.org/referee/ref...istration.html
Referees are given discounted registration fees:
For a single session:
Free for Friday or Sunday if you run a single game on Friday and Sunday
$15 for a 3-day convention pass
Multiple sessions: a free 3 - day convention pass
