My Skaven have been sitting on my window sill getting fat and happy. I think the Rat Ogre is starting to make eyes at the Vampire Counts horse that's across the way. They're way past due to go out and pick up some delicious warp stone.
Looking forward to trying out Witch Hunters. I think they will be an interesting group; a nice mix of shooting and powerful (for humans) close combat.
I've got a lot of ideas on how to run the campaign, but if anyone has any thoughts post them here. Chris and I are going to try and keep it as simple as possible (hard with a game almost as old as Dark Eldar...). We will just use warbands out of the book plus Dwarfs and Orcs and just use Hired Swords out of the book plus Imperial Assassin and Telian Marksman.
Reason for this is that GW made something like 20 official warbands and not all of them were balanced, and it would take a huge FAQ to make it fair. By limiting it the campaign will be simpler and hopefully run smoother.
I am hoping for 6 committed people to participate and meet once a week at DL?
I've got the time, models, and inclination.
However, I say we cut the chaos warband if we're limiting things. They've always been too powerful starting out.

The possessed warband is very good when starting the campaign, but tends to level out. The Dwarf warband is terrible when stating the campaign but makes so much more money than the other warbands that it gets a lot better. As long as no one starts their possessed warband off with two Possessed and three Beastmen it should be fine. Likewise I hope no one will start their warband with 15 ratmen with slings...
As someone who has never played, is there an overview or something I could look at? Obviously I don't have any of the ancient Mordheim books to refer to.
all the rules are on the GW website

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?
