Malifaux at Wonko's Mondays at 7PM

Hey guys, the subject says it all! We are trying to get a good sized Malifaux group going on Mondays at 7pm at Wonko's Toys and Games. Right now its just open play, come in, find an opponent, kill each other. Once we get a decent sized group we may start an achievement league for fun if there is enough interest. I will also be posting shortly about what or tournament structure is going to look like. Hope to see you guys on Monday!

A few people have asked about Malifaux lately. Gwendolyn and I are going to head up there Monday (7/20) to see what they have going there.

I know you are out next week Todd, but I think a few others had talked about it too recently.

I'll probably be picking some up, but I'm on vacay for the next 2 weeks and need to see how much of my pocketbook survives the trip, lol.

Well by the time you get back we may have a better idea what the scene throughout Austin is looking like.

And like I had recommended, check out the wyrd forums to get an idea of a good starter crew based on what you like. http://wyrd-games.net/community/foru...on-discussion/
Gwen is pretty great at knowing what different crews/models do, I am a little out of date on the newer stuff, need to catch up.

Generally $100 gets you enough models for regular games (a crew box plus one or two additional characters/minion boxes) and a mini rulebook, then you can add on later for variety and to optimize for strategies. Plus most of the people I know are totally fine with proxies. And I have like 5 decks, so always can lend that.

Wonko's is way too far north for me. I'll keep going to DL on Wednesday nights.

Good to know people are coming in on Wednesdays, it just isn't a good night for me to get into Austin lately. And Gwendolyn has a funny schedule, but she has been getting Mondays off recently. I plan to make it into DL if things change to make it easier for my schedule.

Yeah I haven't been up there in the past couple of weeks. But, the last time I was there, I saw about 5-6 people. I'm going to continue playing Malifaux until I can get my army assembled for KoW. But, then I may just play both of them considering that they are very different games.
