I just got into 40k and I havent finished painting about 750 points worth of BT, but is it just me or BT arnt very fun to paint? I like the style of BT, but the models are looking dull, I need some bling bling!

If they need bling, make all their bolters/bolt pistols gold.
If you're talking about the black being no fun, paint them dark grey and add more areas of red.
Yea Ive painted up a bunch already, but i dont feel they are colorful enough. My Ec makes me sad, he seems plain for being important, maybe I just need to practice more and complain less lol.
Black is one of those colors that generally looks boring until you start using a bunch of colors, none of which are actually black, to paint it.
You can make up for it by making your other colors more interesting, though.
I'd like to see some Purple Templars, myself. Really, really dark purple, granted...but purple nonetheless.
Malory: Jesus, God, Sterling. School girls?!
Archer: Oh, those are just costumes.
Malory: And I suppose that makes it better?
Archer: Doesn't it?
I've seen other colors used for templars in the past...

However, I think it takes some pretty masterful skill to pull it off. I'm currently painting Darkwynns new Templar army using a very very dark grey as opposed to black to allow me to actually have shadows. Take a look at this blog entry:

It will give a bit of an idea what I'm doing.

Blue+Pink/Purple Templars = well done; generally not liked.
Looks awesome, I pretty much just rattle canned the base and using that for my primary color...I started hitting as many details I can, they are starting to look better.
