I'm glad I just finished building my newest army. Although I don't know how much this will affect things in the long run. its not like this is the first time we have all realized that GW has a crappy business model, or the first time they have jacked their prices. apparently we all enjoy the game enough to still buy stuff. there will probably be less buying going on for a little while, but then people will want new toys and will shell out the extra cash.

Although really, I have no need of more plastic right now... I have more than enough models for each of my chosen armies to do just about anything I want with them. might buy more when new eldar or ork codexes come out, but not really planning any major purchases other than that. my money will be going to PP for a while now.

I wonder how many people will be making the jump to PP games after this stuff? normally the price hikes have't seemed to hurt GW, but I feel like it might be different this time. with a combination of dumb moves on the part of GW, a new release wave coming in for Warmachine, and the general push that PP is using to get more players (battle boxes at Adepticon), there might be a lot of people jumping ship. certainly seems to be a lot of new players in Austin for Warmahordes, and a lot of us started in the GW world.
