I'm looking into buying a battlefoam case in the near future, and I know a lot of people in this group use their bags. I wanted to figure out exactly what kind of bag I should be getting before I go and burn a ton of money on a bag.
I am mainly looking at buying a bag for my hordes stuff. but if I can find a way to use one bag for both of my game systems, that would be great. Right now I'm using a Sabol bag that can *just* fit most of my armies (one at a time of course). I use it for both warmahordes and 40k, but some of my armies are getting a bit big for the case to fit comfortably.
for hordes, at first glance the Privateer Press bag with a standard loadout looks pretty sweet. it looks like it has a lot of great pockets and extras, and the foam should easily hold everything I own and have a ton of room left over (for now...). the main question I had was how well the standard slots hold models. do most models fit ok in the standard slots, or do a lot of them need to be moved to a bigger slot? would it be worth getting the standard loadout + a tray of pluck foam?
And if I'm thinking about using one case for both systems, what are my options? I noticed that the two cases have different sizes on the foam. I would imagine PP stuff doesn't fit so well in slots designed for warhammer and vice versa. would it be a good idea to get a standard bag and buy custom foam to fit warmahordes-size models? then buy some GW-shaped foam when I move all my models over?
If I do go with a standard bag, what size should I be looking at? I don't need a suitcase-sized monster bag, but I want to hold a whole army at a given time. something slightly bigger than the sabol army transport would be perfect, but it's hard tot ell which case size that translates to.
sorry for the long post, just trying to get some research done ahead of time. any information helps!
