You know I play and love 30k. I love it for all the ways it is different than 40k. Personally I am not really worried about fluff or balance; I am worried about keeping it a distinct thing which is not tainted by the grossness that is current 40k. For me, I can't really even understand why you would want to do it, but more power to you.
