I've got a warcaster painted, but not based. New I forgot to order something...
(So I have a -6 point army. Bring it!)
Heh. Dragon forge is running "extra behind" on base orders, due to "large amounts of crux machina" bases being ordered. I know what my CoC will NOT be based on. Maybe some of their urban rubble...
Actually, I ordered a full batch of those awhile before they announced the Convergence faction. I didn't really have anything specific in mind for them, they just looked awesome. But now I'd have trouble thinking of them with any other faction (unless of course I devoted another army toward just killing CoC ... hehe) -- since I don't want to be tempted into buying another faction (though I know I probably will ...), I could sell the bases I've got now for what they charged me if anyone doesn't want to wait for Dragon Forge's backlog.

CoC killers...

Less blech, backlog and more blech, what everyone else is doing for me. That, and I really liked the point someone once made that basing an all metallic model on an all metallic base might be a bit of overkill. I ended up getting a mix of secret weapon and dragon forge urban rubble bases. The tricky part is now figuring out how to base the Axiom, as that mountain stand will look awful with the urban bases...
You could use transparent stands placed in rubble to make it look like the Axiom is actually climbing over terrain.

Exactly -- the main reason I don't want them now ... Hmmm, if one was to build a CoC-killing army, what could they make with 1 120-mm base, 4 50-mm bases, 7 40-mm bases, and 23 30-mm bases? Scratch that -- I don't need another project that will be expensive and remain 1/2-finished ...
Yeah, I was wondering that too. Is it possible to file off that base or is it just completely unstable that way? If so, you could GS and then use a transparent rod for support, like M3g was saying.

The rock base is a separate piece, should be workable.
I've got some acrylic tubes I'm going to try using, will see how it goes.
