Be at DL by 5:30 for sign up or you can tell me in person or sign up on this thread and I'll add your name to the list. This week we're going to do a standard 2500pt tourney with normal restrictions: no book of Hoeth, Power Scroll, or Folding Fortress.
The revised Double Deuces system is attached below.
I changed the way dice are awarded as follows:
Draw = 2 and 2
Win = 3 and 1
Crush = 4 and 0
I ran a bunch of simulations to make sure it didn't muck with our probabilities--and we're good.
Also, going forward we have a general idea of the expectations we'd like to set for the various weeks--call them themes if you want. We also don't want to monopolize every Tue night all the time so we won't be doing it every week--this way we don't burn out too.
So here's the general lay of the land:
Week directly following a DL Tourney - no Double Deuces event
2nd Week after Tourney- (Fun Theme) could be small lists, or short multi-games, team events, stories, crazy objectives
3rd Week after Tourney- (Academic Theme) could be ETC style lists or army swap sets where it's more about how good a general you are and learning about other armies than what list you bring
4th Week after Tourney- (Tourney Practice) here a lot of people will be wanting to try out things for the tournament, so we may not run the exact same restrictions as the tourney, but we'll do something that at least gives people a chance to get a little practice in with an army very similar.
This structure still gives us some flexibility, and should have a little something for everybody. Hope you all keep coming out and enjoying the events.
