I love the Viper, and it sucks to see him go ... I wish that like in the books, we were getting more of the picture of things in Dorne. It has been awhile since I read the books, but am I remembering wrong, or hadn't we already had some of the things like Darkstar and Aryo Hootah, and some other scenes of things in Dorne by now?

As for this episode, I didn't think that overall it was as good as some of the others in this season, and I thought that the Tyrion and Jamie scene talking about the mentally challenged cousin was pointless and annoying. That being said, this final scene was amazing. I absolutely love the way they portrayed Oberyn fighting, it was awesome to watch. Also, just this death ... yes, I'm a reader of the books so I know when to expect the big deaths, but I haven't gotten the "payoff" from Joffrey's death or even the Red Wedding that I did in the books. The story is great, and i got glee from watching the reactions of the non-readers ... but as far as having an absolute gut-punch moment, I thought this was the biggest one since Ned went and lost his head, and in that sense I applaud them for how they did this scene. It elicited a great emotion from me, maybe it's just because i like the character so much ... I can't wait for some of the big moments still lingering in the next two episodes though
