Well, take that last game we played as an excellent case of the problem I have: even though I was making great progress dismantling your army, I was still barely able to eek out the draw, and a minor win on turn 7 would have required some favorable dice rolling. I can pick one point on the board and drop a sledgehammer there, and even if everything works out I still have almost no control over the rest of the table. My goal is to get in more mobility, particularly a mobile scoring unit, in exchange for a bit of the firepower in that huge bunker. Now, in a KP game, I can just move the other stuff along with the mass and retain the bunker's full strength... but when I need to divide my force, I should actually be capable of doing so.
