We were able to kill enough of the 88 bloodletters bubble wrapping the one on my end of the table and get past five bloodthirsters (plus other stuff) to clear a path to the demon on the last turn. I had a squad of vanguard vets that would have done it, but a couple of heralds of tzeentch on charriots flamed them and I forgot how I should have rolled the saves and let the sergeant died on the top of the last turn. We all thought it was over when it was our turn, but someone pointed out that I still had a five man tac squad in a rhino in range to drive up 6", them get out 6" and possibly make a 6" run to get the sergeant into base contact. I rolled the six for the run, tied the game and it ended there. It was one of those memorable moments when everyone was watching one roll of the die that changed the outcome of the game.
