whfb question about having ogres in empire army?

I've seen people play empire with ogre mercs. The question is, could I incorporate ogre sabre tusks into my empire army list?

Who did you see doing that?
There are a lot of rumors for the future but currently the only way to get Ogres in an Empire army is by using the old Dogs of War supplement and rules.

Yeah, who's doing this? I know Minus67 here uses ogres as unit filler in his empire, but they're just fluffy counts as 5 or 10 halbediers.

I am not familiar with Empire, but assume they are being run as Dogs of War perhaps? In which case, I don't believe sabre tusks are allowed.

Here is a link to the DoW from 2014 alamogt website; I think it was in WD a long while ago, not sure how far back, nor how most tournaments treat this currently:

Found the Regiments of Renown one too:

The old ogre kingdoms book from 7th allowed Ironguts/bulls/maneaters to be hired. But, the 8th edition book took that away.

Yah what Jordan said. Ages ago everyone could take a giant. Dogs of war was a really cool idea but sadly GW killed it.

I'm almost 100% sure he saw Brandon's army.

Yeah Brandon uses Ogres as unit filler; 1 ogre = 4 empire infantry.

I saw a rule that said you can take maneaters as mercs but in order for them to be trusted allies you have to take the ogre captain with them I don't know his name. On page 397 of the core rule book there is an empire army with ogres in it.

    That's why I ask.
