    The Black Mace?

Did a web search and didn't come up with anything conclusive as to what this artifact is supposed to look like (yes, I'm joining the club of giving my Warlord a Black Mace, but it's not a winged Demon Prince, so yay for variety). There's a Chosen in the DV set that's got a power maul or something and I was thinking of using that as a starting point, but don't have a clear path to how I'd convert it. Anybody have some ideas on how to make such an awesome instrument of destruction look good on a model?

that mace on the DV model should work just fine. Since youre doing nurgle I'd nurgle it up and it would be just fine.

any maul would do, though In my mind it looks like a dark crozius. I'd go with an eight pointed star on a mace haft.

My gut instinct is to add more spikes, or flailing parts. One easy conversion might be to add a ring of spikes around the throat of the DV mace, just above the power box. You could also have it so that it's held in a possessed arm, and that would add to the effect without changing the maul itself.

Edit: Another idea I had is you could take the two-handed Death Company Thunder Hammer and replace the head of the hammer with the mace head from the DV box.

The Mace from the Chaos Knights works weel. You can use a Mace from the Terminator box. I would also say a lot of the maces from the Ogre sets would work well also.

After reading this I have decided that the movie "Pineaple Express" should redo one of its quotes from:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Jude Law."

    To:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Nick Rose."
