Nick, there was a thread a couple of years back on AMM about ordering the 2" foam(maybe some one on here will remember), I think Chris D was involved. I believe it was Lowe's. They would only order it in batches of 10 or more and would not stock it, special orders only. It had to be ordered through the contractor department. Yes I was involved with that, yes its special order only. The hard sell is you have to order a pallets worth. Some one will have to see what that price is now, because this was way back before everything went up in price. 2 inch thick at the time was the thickest available. Good luck, this wont be an easy chore.
