If you could design a really nice furniture quality gaming table, what features would you like to have?
1. Side board to put reserve/dead models
2. Drawer/cubby hole to keep codex/army list handy but out of the way
3. Drink holder
What else?

Bar height - for those of us who are fatboys - helps the back strain. The first shelf underneath should be only a foot or so from the top so that it can be used for fast storage - army trays, dead models, dice, bins, ect - like the sideboard. Then the larger amount of space below would be for a shelf just off the ground for terrain and the like, of course...
Oh - padded corners and edges, like a billard table.

My wife and I have been doing crude sketch ideas recently, and came up with something that we will personally try to put in. We will attempt something closer to a geek chic table with removable top and recessed gaming area, but my wife enjoys jigsaw puzzles so we will incorporate a thick flat board (maybe 3x5 or so) with a thin molding all the way around the edges(so pieces won't fall off) that will slide into holders right under the table below the recessed area. That way she can take as long as she wants without taking up other room in the house.
A whiteboard or something for keeping track of game turn and score.
Have a lip around the edge to limit dice rolling off the table
Dice would roll off the table anyway...
