Greggle just how was he suppose to fix anything? There was only so much fuel and only so much data. He even said that he was not nearly as smart as his wife, that she was the brains he was just a tech. As to the boom, well as many of us know a final farewell device would work just like that. If conditions are met it goes boom, after all it only takes a tiny amount of electricity to send a command to trigger a explosive.

It's not that one guy was supposed to run everything by himself that was so shocking, but that the CDC's super secret disease lab was so poorly designed and in a city.

Seemed designed well enough to me, blast doors, bullet proof/shatter proof glass. Self sufficient power source (diesel only last so long lol). A fail safe to ensure the viruses dont get out. Lets be honest a CDC in a city is a good idea. Why? Where else can you get so many samples? Where people thrive, after that you e-mail or secure transport all the findings to a more isolated place. I am no security's or disaster planner but makes sense to me.

You would be surprised at what the government has in well populated cities.

Even in Austin...ever drive around near the center of our city, around the State Capital, and ever notice all the VERY lightly or even UN-marked government buildings in that 5 block area? How about on Lamar where the State and Federal Departments of Health buildings are?

Hell, most people never knew that the IRS and FBI had field offices in the building on MOPAC and 183 that the nutjob flew his plane into...along with a FEMA office, and a HUD office.

I'm not trying to go all tin-foil hat here (I can't stand conspiracy theorists), but having worked for the government/military, you kinda learn how they hide things....IN PLAIN SIGHT!

Last week I decided I wasn't going to watch the show anymore because nothing was hapening. But then my wife made me watch this latest episode and the end almost made it worth the wait. The last few had been too much bore and not enough gore.

Just watched the latest two episodes last night. I'm happy with the show and the direction they're going. (Also, yes. The half-way finale was pretty hot.)

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
