    Week 3 Scenario

I will not be there this week but here is a scenario to play.

    103 Penetration Raid
    Mission Objectives
Players must secure and hold an area of the table for their opponents full player turn in order to accomplish the object.

    Forces:
Each player agrees on a point limit for the game

    Deployment:
Attacker/Defender. Winner of the deployment Roll can determine if they are the attacker or the defender. The attacker sets up first but goes first. The Defender sets up second and goes second.

    Scenario Set-Up:
Deploy terrain as normal. Place a 25mm counter 12” from each table edge along the horizontal center line.

    Scenario Special Rules:
    • Each counter can be utilized to fulfill the mission objective
    • Each objective possess the TO:Camoflage rule and must be discovered before it can be claimed.
    • Claiming the objective is done by:
    o Discovering the objective
o Place a model in such a way as to have the objective completely within the model’s Zone of Control.
o The objective must remain within the models Zone of Control for the opponent’s entire active turn.
    • Once discovered you must grab the objective using a Short interact skill and return to objective to your deployment zone.
    • Once grabbed a new objective re-appears in the same location.
    • No model may carry more than 1 objective.
    • If a model carrying an objective dies, the objective falls in place and immediately reverts to the TO: Camo stat.
    • Any model may attempt to retrieve a fallen objective.

    Ending the Game
Each objective returned to your deployment zone is worth 1 point. The player who returns the most objectives to their deployment zone (and hence collects the highest number of victory points from doing so) is the winner of the game. Note the objective must be wholly within your deployment zone to score the point.

Please ask any questions you might have here.

What does this mean? And one additional victory point is worthless since troops are worth their points for VP. 10%-20% points played VP per objective makes them valuable. Otherwise I'd ignore the mission and try and kill my opponent.

Does anybody else find it odd, by the way, that the information age has led to language becoming an oblique and imprecise tool where even the most straightforward phrasing is pored over with chicken entrails and bone tossing to divine the true meaning?

Then we're not counting kill points?

No just score it on objectives. Normal break rules apply however. So if kill enough to force the route you will win. If I were running a tournament with a scenario like this I would score it on objectives and not on whether you ran your opponent off or killed him to the man.

I didn't get to play so chances are good the answer is no. However we had a whole slew of Infinity players show up and check out the scene.
