"The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age."
In vino veritas.

I'm thinking of heading out with some CSM/Demons. I finally painted a heldrake, so if you hate heldrakes, at least you can enjoy shooting at a pretty model before it's annihilated. I'm trying to set up a game before I go, because I've gone before and by 7pm everybody was already well into dedicated games. I can play anything at any points, and I'm not a competitive player. Anybody want to fight some CSM?
Good seeing you Chris.

It was a fun game. I started feeling bad at the end though when swarmy just refused to fail a save that entire game. He made like 10 4++ saves and a dozen 3+ flawlessy. His buddy the trygon though... Not a good day for him.
There were a couple odd moments that game. BattleLeader +his terminator retinue dieing to a bunch of gaunts, Trygon dieing to bolters, Haruspex getting eaten alive by a handful of wolves, Rolling the perfect psychic powers on both sides and then proceeding to never successfully casting anything ever, Swarmlord vs Ragnar and his retinue failing to wound each other for several rounds awkwardly in the middle.
That felt like a true 40k game to me full of things that made no sense but were awesome.
I had a great night gaming/hanging out, John! It is always a pleasure listening your utterly insane stories, so thank you for inviting me to the diner. I hope to be there again soon with a new model or two. Definitely more nurglings...
