Naw I like Ret just fine. I just don't like useless bloat. Bad models and Bad themes don't make the game better. I haven't played the tier, obviously, but my gut says its not worthwhile.
why is that the worst option? what route did you think they would go? seems to me it's better than making it "warjack can only be affected once per turn" or something like that since you can use three of them to fully load a heavy for no cost to your caster (or one focus from caster, 2 from arcanists, one concentrated power). sure the Hydra goofiness doesn't happen, but it's much more useful in more situations

Tier 3 is the money. But just being able to run full jacks isn't enough to justify the loss of EVERYTHING that makes Ret scary. She's not a jack caster, she doesn't increase their speed, hitting power, or survivability in melee. They are still just Rat 5's. So at the end of the day you are really just hoping to win on scenario, which is legit, but its not enough for the restrictions imo. I haven't played it either so I guess I could change my tune, but support and units make Ret good. Our jacks are subpar because they are subpar, not because we don't have the focus to run them.
Now the ability to get a 4 focus jack would have been 1) fun, something we don't have the ability to have 2) powerful and open up options we haven't had and 3) still accomplished the goal of the theme list which is to sell models that aren't being used.
