Game Closet Warhammer 40k 1850 Waco Seige 7 May
Hey Austin, us up here in Waco will be holding a tournament, the first major 40k one in years. We are trying to grow our community and show centex that waco is still on the map for 40k though some of us travel for tournaments the vast majority don't leave waco so were doing this in an attempt to revitalize our community if we can have some people show up that would be wonderful. In case you don't hear back from me on here as i might forget to check since this is a new forum for me come take a look on FB at (Game Closet Warhammer 40k - Waco/Central Texas) Hope to hear from some of you and see some of you up here with us.
Army Composition -
-No unbound
-A single LOW choice is allowed, though the seize on 5+ will be applied (also if you are bringing a LOW it must be approved message me for approval)
-No more then 3 detachments, detachment meaning a single detachment so Decision style counts as 1 no matter how many core and aux you bring, formations would count as one as well. No single detachment can be cut and pasted more then once, so no running 3 libraries conclaves.
- The stuff releasing on the 16th of April will be the newest allowable rules set playable at the tournament, that means there might be ridiculous psychic phases i know.
-Please have an army list ready when you arrive at the tournament to hand in as well as one that your opponents will have access to.
Prizes-
-To be determined will depend on attendance
-15$ entry fee (if you buy something on the day of the tournament that is 25$ or more you will receive 5$ off, if you buy something 75$ or more you will receive 10$ off)
-We will be awarding 1st, 2nd, 3rd for sure depending on attendance i would like to add a best sportsman, as well as a painting challenge. (if we do painting it will be based on a single submittable unit so get those brushes out and paint your heart out, the judge will be a number of unbiased non tournament players, who will make all judgments between games so no one will be looking over your shoulder or asking to pick models up during play)
Scoring-
-Scoring will be based on a W/L/D system, as well as a Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary points system to determine draws at the end of the day.
Missions-
-We will be using the Alamo GT missions 1, 2, 3 which can be found < http://www.alamogt.com/40k/missions.php > here. link at bottom.
Reminder-
-Check back soon as i will have doors open/start time soon.
-This is an attempt at revitalizing the life blood of Waco 40k the more the merrier, if we get a lot of people it will allow for larger events in the future with larger prize support and more incentives, so please show if you can.
-If there are any further questions post them below and i will try to address them asap.
-Wizzywhig will be in effect- though a few exceptions can be made for good conversions, or new players with lack of models as this is still a regrowing community, we just ask that if you need exceptions to keep them at a minimum.
-As always were here to have fun and really make this a great day for growing our player base and showing the I35 Corridor that Waco does have some players.
