Thread: Who is going to DL for 40k

Hey everybody who is going to DL for 40k this week? I am new and want to start playing at DL.

Thursdays are the main 40k night at DL. sometimes space is limited, but there are always plenty of guys playing every week. although, usually there is someone playing almost every night of the week

What size of list??

the standard right now is 2000 points, though people will generally be willing to play other sizes, depending on what you have/want to play. Also, we are just starting an escalation league. if you're building a new army, or are new to the game (couldn't tell from your first post if you're a new player or new to austin) the escalation league would be a good place to start. Check out the sub-forum under the events forum here.

The basic idea is we start with a 500 point list and play several special missions (DL has copies of missions and scoresheets) during the month. next month we add 250 more points and play some more missions. we keep going until everyone is playing at 2000 points. the only limiting factor is that all models used have to be painted, but "painted" doesn't mean painted well. just has to have 3 colors. The league is designed to get new people playing more, or help people build/paint an army that they haven't gotten around to yet.

Is it to late to join that League?? I have been playing off and on for two years.

not too late at all. everyone got off to a pretty slow start on this thing. go post in the signup thread and you'll be in. As far as I know, no one has done their 500 point games yet. I playtested them, but still need to get my actual games in. you have until June 1st to get 2 500 point games in. if you get pinched for time, you can always do both in one night

Okay I will sign up and are you going to be there Thursday? Maybe we can play the first 500pt game.

yeah I'll be there with my Orks. I'll be heading over after work, so about 6ish
