I agree with Tau being bottom of that list actually.

They are easily the most bull**** army to play against as all their rules basically remove player interaction and chance, but they have too much difficulty scoring objectives vs the other top tier armies. They are only good for seal clubbing mid-tier codex armies.
Honestly if they didn't basically auto-lose to Eldar with at least 2 Wraithknights(god help the tau if they get invisibility) then I could see them higher. But when the paper to your scissors is the most common army played in tournaments... yeah not good.

And yet you're suggesting the Eldar (the other 10/11 codex) needs to bring 2 wraithknights to create an auto lose.

comparing two codices that are the 10's of the bunch does not make one of them become a 5.

You should try playing full Tau. Actually don't. Allying the firebase to your orks was bad enough.

I should play full Tau just for ***** and giggles one time. I technically do have the army until I manage to sell it.

And yes I do think that having the scissors to your paper being Eldar(and invisibility) is bad enough to kick Tau down a few notches. If you plan to win the tournament you are going to be on the top tables. Guess which army is almost always on the top tables? Eldar and invisible deathstars.

In a world where invisibility and wraithknights didn't exist then Tau would be a great army for winning tournaments with. Unfortunately if you plan to get to table 1 and stay on it you are almost guaranteed to run into one of those.

Orks have a Warboss that gives 1 unit of bikers Scout and Skilled Rider and all bikes count as troops.

There are far more Marines than anything else on top tables these days; check out the BAO top 10 (with a mission set up that favors SM/Eldar/Necron and hurts AM and Tau), only 1 invis star up there . I think the OPs list is about right, just switch Necrons and Marines.
