Kings of War V2 lite pack / starter kit UP

The Kings of War V2 rules are now up and live. Currently avaible over at mantic games. But all you get for now is a very lite kit. Same base rules, no magic items. Head on over to mantic and down load the free starter rules.

    From the Rulebook:

"You can play Kings of War with just a few units per side, without worrying about the two sides being equally matched. This is great for learning the game, but after you’ve become familiar with the rules and have amassed a large collection of models, you might want to try a game where the forces facing one another across the battlefield are balanced, so that both players have an equal chance of winning the game."

I love that, almost like they know something about the other side. Almost....

Those are for KoW v1. Some of the rules have changed, for instance they have gotten rid of the banners, musicians, and leaders. You can still have them in your army but they are decoration only. I didn't look close enough so I'm not sure what else might have changed. One of the struggles I have with KoW is that all of the armies that I have don't really fit into the KoW yet (Beastmen, WoC, Dark Elves). I am considering just using my DE models and running them as elves just to get me started with the game.

This is the new army list and some of the artifacts. This should get you by until August. As for list size. 1500 or 2000. Build what you can. If you need a smaller list post it up here and I will design something to play that point total.

Thanks for posting! I didn't know there were any rules for Twilight Kin. It sounds like that faction will change significantly, but this gives something to work with.

These are the beta rules. Should be in the August release or the army book release shortly after that

They explain that the twilight kin rules are subject to change but should be used.
