This is the official thread for the memorial project. With the fact that this has become a community thing, I'll actually be checking in every day.

I picked up the box from DL today [and successfully managed not to cry] - it's a mix of older metal models, partially modded models, partially built models, sprues, and a couple of unopened boxes. There are vehicles and troops on foot. There's about 4k points, mostly unpainted and unprimed. I will be back at DL tomorrow around 7:30ish to pull everything out and inventory. I'll post the master list when it gets put together.

If you're interested, and can make it... I shall see you there. If not, there will be a list and pics. Once everything is sorted, I'd like to talk about the overall feel/paint scheme for the army [he modded a couple of models in the same way, I'd like to keep with that] and then let everyone take a unit and put their own spin on those things.

Larry at DL has offered time on Saturdays for all of us to come in and work on this together, and to keep the army at the store so everyone can have access to it while the project is going on.

So... yeah... that's where this is. I greatly appreciate any help y'all are willing to give. As this is a community project I don't view this army as being just mine... if you work on it, you can use it. Take it to tournaments, enter parts of it into painting contests, etc. As long as it gets table time from folks that respect where it came from, I'll be more than pleased and I think the family will too.
