ROUND 4: 40K Escalation League @ DL Apr 24 - May 6

Looks like a only one game from the last round was missed-- you folks get 0's until you play them.

Mission 4: Find 'em & Kill 'em

Armies: 1250 points
Battlefield: 4x6 table, Hammer and Anvil Deployment. Roll off to pick deployment zones.
Objectives: Annihilation: Score 1 Victory Point for each enemy unit that has been completely destroyed (including Independent Characters and Dedicated Transports). Units that are falling back or not on the board at the end of the game, count as destroyed for the purposes of this objective. Additionally, if you kill an entire formation or detachment, score an addition 3 Victory Points for each Formation or Detachment destroyed (in addition to the points scored for units in that detachment).
Deployment: Standard Deployment method (pg 132)
First Turn: The player that set up first can choose to take the first or second turn. If they decide to take the first turn, their opponent can Seize.
Special Rules: Variable Game Length. No Reserves unless required by unit type (Flyers, Drop Pods). Night Fighting for every turn.
Victory Conditions: Victory Points per the Objectives above. Slay the Warlord, First Blood and Linebreaker count as 1 VP each.

We're nearing normal sized games, so things should be a little more even. Play on a regular-sized table.

The following League-wide rules are in effect:
All models have Preferred Enemy: Unpainted. Unpainted means fewer than three colors, primer counts as a color.
All models not completely assembled always move as if they are in difficult terrain.

My wife has been feeling bad since yesterday, so I don't want to make any commitments for tomorrow night. I should be good for next Thurs, though.

Hey, I can't get there until about 9pm on Tu/Th. So we could do tomorrow (at 9) or later Friday afternoon.
Normally Saturdays would be ok, but my car is dead right now, so this weekend may not work.
Next week may be a little easier if I can get the transportation issue sorted this weekend.
If you want to wait until next week, I can update you later this weekend when I have a better idea on that issue.

If you have transport issues, I don't want to put you out. If you want to try to get one in tomorrow we can, but it sounds like you have alot on your plate and I'm totally fine waiting if that's easier on you.

Yeah, next week should probably be easier if you don't mind waiting. Do you have anything going on next week that would make that difficult? You can just shoot me a pm and we can sort out details

Sorry everyone, I think I need to drop out of the league. My hobby attention has shifted to other games and I can't keep up with the building/painting/buying. I have some Black Templars that I could play for at least this round, though.

John, I'm going to be stuck and work and can't make it tonight.

Erin and I got our game in today and I won 10-2. Lost my bike squad way to easy and early, but was able to outlast on the rest and keep her at enough range to whitle her down.

It was an interesting game between Dan and I. Dan with Ultramarines versus Daniel with Ultramarines. Let's say that Chaplain Cassius and his Tyrannical War Vets suffered a PTSD break and attacked the second company. Dan was running a drop pod based army and I was a mix of bikes, infantry and centurions. I deployed pretty tight in the back of my deployment zone in hopes of keeping him from coming down in the middle of my forces, which sort of worked, but not really. The first couple of turns weren't too eventful, but somewhere around turn 3 it turned into a blood bath on both sides. We both had slay the warlord and he had line breaker and first blood, and ended in a very fitting draw of 10 to 10.

That was a great game Dandy. Thanks again.

Eek! This was supposed to be the week we started the 1500 pt round. Has no one else played their games? Unfortunately, TxPlays missed out of his fourth round game, but that leaves a number of games left to be played.

yeah, maybe a good idea too see about extending round 4 another week at least

but we could do a 1500 point Thursday if you like. my classes are done, so I can actually be there at a reasonable time.

Yes, we played. I have to drop out for round 4 an round 5. I don't have 1500 points of Harlequinns for various reasons. Such as not able to actually buy the models due to demand and the time to actually put them together.

Nick, that works out since Nate dropped out at Round 4 as well. I've updated the roster, and txplays and Hogleg should now play each other for Round 4.
