6th Edition Ally Armies: Who's your buddy?!

So of course I'm going to play with allies in my armies now. The Blood Angels/Necron Army is happening for sure, but what allies are YOU going to go for?

I think I might need to pick up some chimera's and hydras now lol. Anyone else got a crazy army they want to do?

Things that immediately come to mind is adding a farseer to my DE and Demons to my CSM.

With the changes to power weapons, I'm considering throwing some Deathwing into my BA force. Hydras are also appealing choices, given you can stick an Officer of the Fleet in your requisite HQ slot. I've had a few funny, but awful ideas, and overall I'm not sure my BA list will benefit much from allies. Some tough choices on what to cut, especially if Dante's weapon goes to being a power axe (it is an axe after all).

Fire dragons in a wave serpent, farseer w/ doom & RoW, guardian jetbikes, done. Have them all painted and ready to roll courtesy of the Footdar army, just waiting to see how 6th changes things before I figure out what to drop from the GK list to open up 310 points.

I'm sure Nick can come up with a way to help me convince the rest of you that allies (as leaked) will become outlawed in anything that's not a super-casual list, but there's my contribution.

As for actually kind of goofy setups, I wouldn't mind having an avatar open a few tanks for my Templar. That'd be kinda fun.

I'm considering a bit of guard myself. Was thinking of BA, but with FC losing the initiative buff, I don't care about Sanguinary Priests anymore, and BA won't continue to have that particular leg up on me.

I've also been thinking of vanilla marines, for the stormtalon that escorts my scouts onto my opponent's board edge.

There are however negatives if you are not Bothers in Arms... which are the only ones who you can put ICs in allied units IIRC.

I believe that's correct, going all the way down to the unholy alliance equivalent, which can result in your allies actually attacking your own units.
