GHG and I will be holding a two person team tournament, featuring EARLY WAR, Saturday, May 14th and 15th at 10:30am, with registration beginning at 9:30am. THIS IS A NATIONAL QUALIFIER, explanation below. There will be a 15.00 entry fee, with excellent as always prize support. We will have room for 24 players (12 teams for you math illiterates). There will be up to 3 games, but this time they will last 3.5 hours long, not the typical 2.5 hours.

NEWS FLASH, Soviet PDF will be allowed.
Soviets will be on the Axis side, and may not use armor/support from 1941.
Armies consist of 1000 points each; with only one air support allowed.

What are the special rules and scoring?
All Standard rules apply EXCEPT always attack and always defend rules, these will be scraped unless both allied/axis army use the same rule for each teammate, special rules do not carry over to each other.
Breaking one company does not break both, this will be a team game but each person will be their own company commander, there is no inter aid amongst the two lists (i.e. they cannot even spot for each other or reroll). We will also be using the new FOG scoring system, all results will be submitted. The total platoon count will be tallyed at the end of the game (if your opponent loses 5 platoons and you lose 1, you had 9 and 5 respectively, your totals would be 6 platoons lost out of 14 platoons.

How do I choose my teammate, and what lists can we use?
Polish may not team with anyone but another Polish player unless push comes to shove and we are desperate, then they will team with French.
French and British may group.
Soviet may not group with anyone, and only 7 T-34’s are allowed on the board at any one time.
Each person will have a 1000 point force, you may not lend points to your opponent. All Phil approved EW V2 PDF’s are allowed.
Players ranked in the top 100 nationally may not partner together, rankings are on rankingshq.com

Qualify, eh?
How does this qualify you ask, a team that takes first place will roll off for 1st and 2nd position individually, and so forth. This roll will only be done in front of the T.O. (Mark Bayne) at the end of the tournament, a 2nd place team will then roll off for 3rd and 4th.

Registration is at 10am

10:30am sharp - Missions: FFA or Encounter (total your platoons, half of TOTAL platoons will be held off board)

2 opm lunch

3 pm sharp - Missions 2: Fighting Withdrawal or No retreat

Optional game on Sunday, only the top 2 scores will be kept from the 3 games.

Sunday, the 15th, noon sharp - Mission 3: TBD – you must notify the T.O. upon registration if you are staying for the 3rd game on Sunday, it is not mandatory, but if you register, know that no shows will be disqualified from the tournament, you will not be allowed to sign up after the fact. Your teams two best scores will be kept, from the 3 games.

A special prize will be given out on Sunday (a random prize will be given to a random team that participates on Sunday). All prizes will be handed out Sunday, you do not have to be present to win unless you signed up to be there Sunday, if again you do not show, you and your partner will be flogged and drug by your ankles.
