WM/H Wednesday Night Speedmachine Tournament, August 15, Austin Dragon's Lair

    Results (top 50%, 13 players)

    1 SpiderBite Cryx
    2 Caldera02 Legion of Everblight
    3 TravPrime Cryx
    4 Muffinman Retribution of Scyrah
    5 Kiwidru Circle Orboros
    6 Johnhev Protectorate of Menoth

Time for another speedmachine - last month's turnout was good, hopefully we can continue the tradition.

August 15, Register 7:30-7:45, dice roll at 8

20 points, single army list consisting of warcaster/lock plus jacks/beasts only. If you just started playing and need to borrow some models, let me know in advance.

18 minute deathclock. This is a change from last time. Per suggestion I'm adding 5 mins downtime between rounds to look over opponents cards etc.
Again, deathclock means if you run out of time you lose. You have to activate all your models each turn.

Single scenario for the whole evening, will be one of the first three SR2012 scenarios (close quarters, overrun, gauntlet) from http://privateerpress.com/files/SR2012_Rules_V1.3.pdf
That means killbox is in effect, if you end your turn within 10" of any table edge, you lose.

1 tournament point for a win by scenario or caster kill
(so destruction of all jacks / beasts is not a win condition like in "mangeld metal", it's too confusing to people)

1 tournament point if your opponent runs out of time.
(This is a change from last time, stalling wasn't an issue & standard scoring is more compatible with tracking things in the tourney software)

0 tournament points for a loss

    Answers to questions:

Yes, being a couple of points short of 20 army points is fine.

Yes the avatar is ok, yes borka is ok, yes if someone realllllllly wants to play goreshade we'll let em do it until it becomes an issue.
Just no infantry, solos, lesser warlocks, warcaster attachments that you have to pay points for, etc. Colossals yes, battle engines no.

You don't have to play battlebox casters or jacks. Any army list that meets the other requirements is fine.

This will follow offical rules regarding models - legitimate conversions are fine, proxies and unreleased models are not.

How long will it run - at 40 mins max per round, we should be able to get a 4 round 16-person tourney done by 11 p.m.
