I figure we can start to split off topics from the escalation conversation.

It occurred to to me yesterday after playing a friendly against Cave's Tau using our bullshizz lists (not sarcasm, they're tournament of champs bull junk) that I could have won if I had played differently. Which is to say the way the list is designed.

The reason I didn't play in a way the list was built? The mission forced me to change. We played with the secret mission in the Iyanden codex, Cave had no idea what my goal was and it put us both off our game. There was no way for him to plan denial and he was confused as to why I was rushing his lines.

Annnnyway it seemed like a fun dynamic to change an army on the fly and can be done without significant bans.(not taking a position on other issues in this thread, that needs it's own).

I was hoping we could suggest some other mission types here and get that convo rolling.

Basically I suggest we alter the Mission in Iyanden so that one or both players have an unknown goal.

I'll type more details when I'm off my phone.

I know John Cook has some great missions too.

We can liven up one or two tourneys a quarter with mission building.
