Unrestricted Tournaments: Escalation, Stronghold, Dataslates and Etc.

I want to get a feel for how this is being received and some input on my thoughts towards this. Starting in May, all the tournaments labeled as "unrestricted" will allow you to play with all of your toys. Now that being said, there may be a few things we need to ban or maybe not. I'd like to get everyone's thoughts on the few units we should look at. Example. Revenant Titan? Thunderhawk? Void Shield Generator? If only a few people have a problem with those then it's whatever. Now not a whole lot of people in town own those things but if they are allowed then more people might actually get them so we need to be prepared for it.

I say for the unrestricted tournaments we let everything in and ban nothing except maybe Horus Heresy for the obvious integration problem it presents. Let everyone bring whatever silliness they want. Everyone should know that the tourney is going to be unmitigated spam and cheese so there shouldn't be any surprises with Titans and Thunderhawks and Harridans.

I would'nt ban anything and let it go for awhile till you get enough data.

Revenant and things can be dealt with esp by Flyer nonsense. Besides maybe people will stop taking those annoying beast hunter shells.

After reading this I have decided that the movie "Pineaple Express" should redo one of its quotes from:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Jude Law."

    To:

"But if you do something heroic then you'll come back as like an eagle or a dragon, or Nick Rose."

HH really only creates problems because the stats for some things are different, and you pay a premium in points for some things that aren't as important in 40k, which creates a huge issue if you try to comp it. If comp isn't even in the cards, there's no reason not to at least try it out, IMO. The only truly glaring thing in those books is that grav guns are completely different (read, ****ty in comparison) from C:SM ones.

If we get enough people that don't mind, I say we try it. but don't get mad when we run into a rules issue none of us really know how to interpret and it goes against you.

Yeah, I want to play 40K, not 30-40K. I don't mind Escalation or Stronghold Assault.

Nothing wrong with some beast hunter . Well, unless you're a MC, then it's a bad day to be around. I played around two sets of them in the tourney and didn't even lose my riptide though, so it can be played around.
