That's if you're running the Gladius. Demi-company just gives you tactical doctrine. But the Gladius is just a demi-company and an aux formation, so it isn't hard to get the more-doctrines-than-I-can-use-in-a-game benefit. Also, one of those Librarians deserved to die. Didn't manifest a power the whole game (despite trying for 3 turns at ML 2) and couldn't make a save to... well, save his life.
