Not sure if you are familiar with the new Eldar Corsairs but they are basically DE that work a little better, which isn't saying much lol. Honestly at Alamo I am more interested in drinking beer and trying to "ice" Minus67 than playing with a baller list. I have 4 models in this Eldar army that can turn themselves into a slannesh herald :( if that happens you have to buy me a beer!

Like CRP said, the soft scores are so big that I still plan on finishing high. Let Thonas or Nick win Santa Anna; I'll be having fun with Davy Crockett!

Seriously...SWs evaporate to massed shooting unless they're Invis'd up (preferably with Endurance). Even the vaunted Wulfen (and I don't play SW). Yet Eldar, Tau and AM spam cheese units with OP shooting rules/attacks/Interceptors/etc. or Canticles of Cheese from a Whore Convocation with "Hey every upgrade to every unit is FREE! It's a Monty Haul codex up in this b*tch!" and no one seems to mind -- and overall the game suffers because there's no real thought, strategy or tactics involved...it's just gaming the system, hop on board with the c*ck-flavor of the month and point, click, win!

This isn't going to win me any friends, but it sounds like someone got their ass properly handed to them by a deathstar -- and in absence of a tactical solution, found a (cheesy) unit to, and I quote, "**** you deathstars". I'm glad you found a single-codex-entry solution to your problem.

There isn't a single army with a deathstar as its only viable build. Space wolves have some crazy strong decurion stuff currently. Turn 1 super drop pod alpha strike formation, or all vehicles get upgrades for free formation. Trust me Space Wolves have it WAY better than the majority of the game, and the majority of the game is still pretty competitive if you have some imagination.

And yes Eldar/Tau are pretty dumb but you know what? I can have a normal 40k game against them. They kill my **** and I kill their ****. They may do it better then my Orks,Dark Eldar, AM, Tyranids etc but I can at least hold my own and make a game out of it. But Invisible Deathstars that are statistically impossible to kill in 5 turns? yeah those are dumb and make for the worst games of 40k I've had. Spending 2 hours avoiding playing 40k in any real way just to throw all my dudes on objectives turn 5 and hope for the best is not fun. Trying to kill the deathstar isn't fun either unless I guess you are Eldar/Tau and have 1st turn or a bunch of undercosted GMC for stomp.

If you want to hop on board the ****-flavor on the month go for it. If that is what you want your 40k to be then have fun. I instead intend to play armies other than Eldar/Tau/Deathstars, and I rather enjoy finding things in the game that make people feel like a tool for using the ****-flavor of the month. So yes, Eff you Deathstars.
