I must have explained it wrong :/

I want to try out the Eldcurion and I really had wanted to run a full on aspect warriors list at Alamo for the fun of it. Turns out I can't do that as I only get 1 or the other. That is a bit disappointing because the list I built is already really mediocre,and now I am finding out I can't even really play it without butchering it. Yes, I could play basically the same list as a CAD and give up all the special rules, but that kind of ruins part of it for me.(meh I like special rules)

Honestly, even with all these bonuses none of them are a competitive unit. They are just somewhat more viable and can hold their a bit better, and it gives players that have shelved said units a reason to use them again if only to try out all their cool new toys they got. Cool, Fluffy, and interesting rules that in no way break the game added onto units that needed it. THAT is fun.

Having a tournament format that allows you to take 60 scatlaserbikes, but not a bunch of slightly buffed mediocre aspect warriors... THAT is not fun.

The 3 detachments thing is a million times better. Still wish you could duplicate detachment types, or at least duplicate if you are taking the same type of detachment with a totally different Faction. But at least having 3 is going to make the event way more fun.

You keep talking about Alamo... New eldar isn't allowed at Alamo is it?

Stick them near an avatar and hope I don't play any gunlines or AdLance :3

Banshees seem better than scorpions. Much cheaper and freakish fast

Could someone please clarify for me what Ignores Cover the Eldar have now besides the 2d6 serp shield and Divination casting?

That is correct. Only on a 6 do D weapons ignore all saves.

The other ignore cover in the book is the grenade pack from the hawks, but that is only s4 ap4. Also, the Dark Reapers ignore jink saves.

Now that I have bested darkwynn I need to find a new target like boucher. It will be hard because because I will not be able to make up so many points on paint score.

yea i am serious about bringing painted armies and display board but kenny is a really good painter like yourself and crp. i really admire his work even though i dont like airbrush painting in general.
