If you didn't see, there is a worldwide campaign starting soon ... but for games to be official you need a Henchman. Do we have one in town?

I'd be surprised if Erin and/or Gwen weren't Henchmen, but I'm not positive. They'd be the ones to check with, though.
Technically gwen and i were. They recently updated stuff and i didn't send in a new nda, but i can do that assuming the deadline hasn't passed. Not sure if gwen renewed hers. I think robert was going to apply but not sure if he did yet. The guy who runs things at wonkos was too, but again don't know if he renewed. Will check on all that later today and let you know.
So, lucky you mentioned this today, as apparently I needed to send an email before midnight tonight to stay in the program. Which i did, so hopefully all is okay with that.
Also, got my schedule sorted and i will have M/W off so will plan on being there Wednesdays for Malifaux as much as possible this fall.
Awesome ... campaign games and events, go-go-go!!
Sweet! I think I will be able to go to DLair on Wednesday nights again soon. I probably won't get there until 7:30 though.
Looks like there is also an rpg part to the campaign, tho distinct from the minis part. I have never done rpg stuff, but i do have a personal copy of both the master and players books, as well as a character sheet pack. If anyone is interested in this sort of thing, especially if you would want to be gm, let me know and i can lend these to you to look over. I won't have time to coordinate both, but can do the reporting of results and stuff. And gm can set whatever schedule works for them. So even if you aren't into the minis side of malifaux, if you like rpgs feel free to offer input or express interest.
Awesome. Go Ressers!
Three Thunders for the Guild members under the sky,
Three for the Ressers in their halls of stone,
Three for Mortal Arcanists doomed to die,
One for the Katanaka Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Malifaux where the Shadows lie.
Ten Thunders will rule them all, Ten Thunders will find them,
Ten Thunders will bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Malifaux where the Shadows lie.
I'll be there Wednesday- let's campaign! I just got Shifting Loyalties in the mail- it looks fun- now I just need to settle on a faction...
Good timing, Erin!
Once again, I'm going to try to learn the game and actually play it -- finally. I've got a fully painted Colette crew (and also just got the Dark Carnival version), and most of the Arcanists, so that will be my main faction. I love that they're throwing in the rpg aspect also -- I haven't formally played it, but it looks great and I've got the books.
Wednesday nights (and occasional weekends) are best for me.
Rules are up on the Wyrd website.Tried to sign up for the event but the wyrd forum is down
Looks like the forum got fixed - Wyrd's fanbase has a habit of crashing the forum/store when big events happen.
Here is the link to the details: http://www.wyrd-games.net/nythera
Also, I set up a spreadsheet on Google docs for the locals to sign in on, just to help people set up games, etc. You don't have to sign on here, but figured this would make it easier to set up games. I will add a second sheet next week for tracking games. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing
Each person is responsible for reporting their own game results to Wyrd, so you need to sign onto their forum if you have not done so yet.
Robert said a few had expressed interest in trying to coordinate a local campaign during this event, but he and I agreed that would probably just be really difficult to do concurrently. However, I have an old template for an achievement league that I could update and that could pretty easily be done within the larger campaign rules scope. And once people have had a chance to purchase and read the new book, Shifting Loyalties (which has a campaign structure in it), we can see about doing something with that down the road.
If anyone would be interested in doing the rpg side of the event, let me know.
Also, Wyrd is updating the henchman program prize support system in October, so I don't yet know what that will entail, but they had said it was designed to be able to purchase special prize packs for events. As soon as I get details, we can discuss further event planning and stuff.
Erin, I was going to sign your doc, but it says only you can do it, that I have to ask you for edit access to be able to enter any data on it ...
Hrmmm, first time for me creating something in Google drive. Will try to fix.
Okay think i have settings right now, so anyone with link can edit.
That works, thanks! Now I just have to get through all of my damned painting. I've picked up quite a bit so that I can have multiple options to meet whatever schemes:
Misaki's box
Ten Thunders Brothers
Katanaka Snipers
Izamu
Yamaziko
Dawn Serpent
It pretty much covers what i want for now. Lone Swordsman isn't available anywhere (I'm thinking of using a counts-as Bushido model for it), and I'm not a fan of the Oiran though maybe down the line I will give them a try. Sensei Yu would be nice, but also not available yet since I didn't jump in during Gencon.
Anyways, looking forward to getting some more games in!
Picked up the Latigo Posse (been eyeing these minis for years) but have no idea how to play, so will need a demo game or hand holding.
It's quick to learn ... I recomend you look for the small rule book off ebay if you don't have a copy of the rules, but the game is very simple, and from what I've seen and by all reports it is more well balanced than the vast majority of games out there. I've had a blast the couple of games I've gotten in so far.
I've got the books and can probably stumble through it with you this weekend if you're around, Tx. Just let me know.
Great! Sat or Sun afternoon I'm free.
I am happy to do demo games on Wednesdays. I am trying to be there regularly then, but stuff comes up. Can usually do Saturday afternoons too.
As a reminder - there is the Austin Malifaux FB page too, a lot of local players don't come to this forum, so that is a good way to hook up with other folks. Am hoping we can use this event to sync up communications between the DL and Wonko's contingents and figure out how to coordinate the Malifaux peeps around town better.
Also, Carey - if we end up being around at the same time, you are welcome to borrow some guild models. Ortegas are a good strong crew to start with, mainly just need something to use as objective runners to add on for certain schemes/scenarios. Guild hounds are my favorite for this, but they aren't out yet in rerelease. Tho given that, I don't think people would mind if you used proxies.
