New 40k Base sizes

It is pricey if you compare it to older starter sets. However, the newer sets such as Stormclaw come with full models not snap kits making it a pretty nice value.

Yeah, it is actually an insanely good deal if you compare it to all those kits added together (if you wanted all of them)

It has more to do with units that can deep strike. Like my first post said, I don't think it's going to be an issue locally, but I could see it being an issue at larger tourneys. More-so for assault marines, but who uses those guys, AMIRITE?!

If it was just rebasing 10-15 models, eh. BUT it's entire armies and that's just a pain.

Why is it an issue with deep strike? (honestly not understanding, no snark there). If my 25mm based models could fit somewhere, but your 32mm based can't, even if they are the same number and type, mine could land, yours would mishap - is that right?

Yes, also a unit of 10, has a foot print that is about 3 inches wider if properly spaced making the unit easier to hit with blasts/large blasts.

But fewer models hit overall. So it is a trade-off it seems. And a choice. So I still don't see why people are freaking out about needing one exact value, when a range would encompass armies old and new, and the choice has both drawbacks and rewards.

Gamers are lazy and don't want to rebase anything.....and they like to gripe.

I thought griping was the hobby, and the game is just the platform.

Adding something relevant tho, I don't see a meritorious argument for rebasing needing to be mandatory, definitely not to the extent that the masses rise up in revolt over the whole thing.

And not just talking on the local scale, just the overall reaction that this little thing generated is crazy to me.
