Roofs
I still need to add the side rail to the rooftop below but you can get an idea of what's going on

Simple Barricades
http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5902ecff.jpg
Made out of ranch stop molding glued back to back. $3.50 gets you about 10 3" barricades once you cut them and glue them. Paint plan for these is very simple. Grey down the center with a bright saturated color on either side, each set of 5 will get a different color treatment so Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, and purple maybe. All done with the airbrush so it goes fast. I thought about doing hazard stripes but that's way to much masking to get these things on the table.
Comments and criticism welcome

A few more industrial pieces as I finish these up, running out of ideas to work with the PVC pipe fittings I have left. Probably going to end up getting a few more electrical junction boxes and attach pipes and fittings to them.

Looking good. I'm thinking of making a wilderness research station terrain set.

My dream project right now is a set of corridors and rooms, spaceship/underground lab/secret military complex style. I've got the plans in my head one of these days I'll start putting them on paper. A friend of mine is using Sketchup to plan his buildings (and future ones for me) I may have to take the time to learn Sketchup and do my plans that way too.

So after two weeks I finally got some time to sit down last night and work on hobby stuff. Not a lot of time, mind you, but I did knock out my first planter box as an experiment in size and form.

you can see the same model in both pictures. With the model in front you can get an idea of size, with the model behind (It's on the left side) you can get an idea what kind of LoS your blocking with it.
The box is made from foamed pvc, sided with plasticard from a 'for sale' sign. Inside the box is a piece of foamboard just to eat up a little bit of depth, the grass is from Hobby Lobby in the Easter Section (a guy had used it on some 40k terrain he brought with him to the store last thursday, wish I knew his name for proper credit) it's sold in a 12x12 panel with a bunch of grass bundles on it - $5.00 for the panel. The grass is hot glued into the box. After I took the pictures I added some ballast to the interior of the box around the base of the grass.

Barricade Paint Job

I think the colors on the end need to be 1/2 the width they are now. That model is right behind the barricade the auto-focus lost him.

Painter's tape and an airbrush FTW!

didn't even get the airbrush out for, left over spray cans. Going to have to though for some of the other colors I want to do. Painting them in sets of 5 for now, these are red, going to do a Yellow, and Orange set at least.
