Good timing, Erin!
Once again, I'm going to try to learn the game and actually play it -- finally. I've got a fully painted Colette crew (and also just got the Dark Carnival version), and most of the Arcanists, so that will be my main faction. I love that they're throwing in the rpg aspect also -- I haven't formally played it, but it looks great and I've got the books.
Wednesday nights (and occasional weekends) are best for me.

Rules are up on the Wyrd website.Tried to sign up for the event but the wyrd forum is down
-
Looks like the forum got fixed - Wyrd's fanbase has a habit of crashing the forum/store when big events happen.
Here is the link to the details: http://www.wyrd-games.net/nythera
Also, I set up a spreadsheet on Google docs for the locals to sign in on, just to help people set up games, etc. You don't have to sign on here, but figured this would make it easier to set up games. I will add a second sheet next week for tracking games. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing
Each person is responsible for reporting their own game results to Wyrd, so you need to sign onto their forum if you have not done so yet.
Robert said a few had expressed interest in trying to coordinate a local campaign during this event, but he and I agreed that would probably just be really difficult to do concurrently. However, I have an old template for an achievement league that I could update and that could pretty easily be done within the larger campaign rules scope. And once people have had a chance to purchase and read the new book, Shifting Loyalties (which has a campaign structure in it), we can see about doing something with that down the road.
If anyone would be interested in doing the rpg side of the event, let me know.
Also, Wyrd is updating the henchman program prize support system in October, so I don't yet know what that will entail, but they had said it was designed to be able to purchase special prize packs for events. As soon as I get details, we can discuss further event planning and stuff.

Erin, I was going to sign your doc, but it says only you can do it, that I have to ask you for edit access to be able to enter any data on it ...
-
Hrmmm, first time for me creating something in Google drive. Will try to fix.
-
Okay think i have settings right now, so anyone with link can edit.

That works, thanks! Now I just have to get through all of my damned painting. I've picked up quite a bit so that I can have multiple options to meet whatever schemes:
Misaki's box
Ten Thunders Brothers
Katanaka Snipers
Izamu
Yamaziko
Dawn Serpent
It pretty much covers what i want for now. Lone Swordsman isn't available anywhere (I'm thinking of using a counts-as Bushido model for it), and I'm not a fan of the Oiran though maybe down the line I will give them a try. Sensei Yu would be nice, but also not available yet since I didn't jump in during Gencon.
Anyways, looking forward to getting some more games in!

Picked up the Latigo Posse (been eyeing these minis for years) but have no idea how to play, so will need a demo game or hand holding.
-
It's quick to learn ... I recomend you look for the small rule book off ebay if you don't have a copy of the rules, but the game is very simple, and from what I've seen and by all reports it is more well balanced than the vast majority of games out there. I've had a blast the couple of games I've gotten in so far.

I've got the books and can probably stumble through it with you this weekend if you're around, Tx. Just let me know.
