Is the 40k Campaign doing more harm than good?

This is why I brought it up instead of quitting.

Ive always thought a sign up sheet would make life a lot easier especially at a big store like DL where you dont always know who is actively looking for a game and who is shopping or just stopping by to watch for a bit. I vote sign up sheet

The only question is where can we put the board where it doesn't interfere with customers roaming around?

There's gotta be a programmer in the group right? How long would it take to make an app for this? I've wanted to try making something like this, like a local area wargaming queue but my progrsmming knowledge is far too limited

I could throw something together, but a piece of paper and pen on the first table would work equally well.

A piece of paper and pen can easily get misplaced especially if there is a game on that table. A dry erase board on an easel would be visible and intuitive.

That's more work than necessary to solve this. I think a "looking for game" (white) board makes a lot more sense. I'll discuss with them tonight to see what's possible.

Is that metal cabinet next to the register big enough to put a dry erase board on?

I like the board idea, it has come up before but never really happened. It is great especially for people like me who are apprehensive of new people in the first place.

They keep changing the front register area around, but I think on the left as you pass by the register towards the tables might be good if there is an easel and space available.

If you wanted to get real fancy, people could bring in copies of a photo of themselves and write their name down. These could be laminated and magnetized, so new people have an easy time recognizing others and changes the conversation from "Uhmm, hi, .... are you looking for a game?" to "Hey, Matt - saw you were looking for a game. I am ..."
