They are the heldrake of 7th edition. an incredibly broken unit in a completely supbar codex.

I Noodlers, solemnly swear not to buy any new or used models until I have completed the following

Painted my Chaos Space Marines, Dark Angels, and Imperial Guard to a tournament standard

At first when I read the book I thought it said that the marker lights could be used to make any seeker missile strength D, but luckily this is not the case. Only the storm surge (which still makes it really good)

We don't need it - we have a reasonably balanced mechanics and an FAQ regularly updated by the company.

Plus, zombie hookers and drunk gremlins.

I say play RAW, with the hope that folks choose to build fluffy lists. Thunder wolves are meant to be a small contingent of the chapter so the odds of them showing up on the board should be small, same with wraith guard, as eldar don't want to waste ghosts. And other than running a knight list, most armies wouldn't be bringing their super big guns unless it was an apocalypse size conflict.

I think there could be a method of encouraging this. Expect to build a list that will go 5 rounds, play the missions, and if you can't tone down from building dick punch lists, then maybe you get penalty points related to the round you wipe your opponent.

    It is just a game.

Problem with that is tournaments are not the place for self policing as people want to win. I am ok with that, I enjoy competition. I just want the cheese to be curbed somewhat. As little change to RAW as we can reasonably get away with. Changing strength D to roll a 6 = 3 wounds with no saves is way more fair than 6+d6.

All i want it to bring a knight (1) and not have it die to my opponent rolling one 6. Its cool if it does to a bunch of melta guns as i'm probably getting a chance to make some saves and maybe even interacting with my opponent. Unlike the 6

Trusting people to not be dicks is not a very good system, and expecting fluffy lists is even less likely to work.
